Update Opps!

It has recently been pointed out that I should post an update with how I am doing, you know try out some positive blogging! Actually, it's rather funny that this comment was made. I was reading an old friend of mine's blog. I LOVED it! It showed so many beautiful pictures and happy things, it made me want to share a bit of that. I believe I was just about to post, when I got my good friends' email. (insert the Twilight Movie Theme here...)

I have been working around my house today, tryin' to make it all purty, an uphill battle, but I have been reflecting on all the good that is happening around me. Here are some things to read about:

1) I have had some pretty good success following this plan that Kaiser has set out. I have lost right around 30lbs. (since leaving AZ) This is a give or take, and also depends on the scale, but I am pretty happy about that! Who am I kidding? I am freakin' out here! This is the time I usually sabotage myself, but so far so good! I am doin' that happy dance right now, anywhere it will take me!

2) I had the privilege of helping to do our primary program last week during Sacrament meeting. I was so touched and impressed and so glad I didn't wear to much make up! Those children are our future. Probably the future of our entire nation. (That does hold true for the primary children all around the world.) They sang beautiful music, shared wonderful speaking parts and testimonies, and I could hear many tears being shed in the pews behind me. It gave me hope and that warm-fuzzy feeling of peace that there are strong members joining our ranks in the church and the whole human race. They may have a lot to overcome, but they are so amazing! I was very glad that I had all the music memorized as I cried through most of the musical selections...yikes!

3) I get to start school soon! I am very excited about this! What a way to spend my days!

Even though I forget to write happy sometimes, I am happy almost all the time. I am so grateful to my family, friends, and everyone else who has influence in my life. I have surrounded myself with good people who I love and care fore and vice versa!

Peace out! Jen

Oh...Just my funny for the week: I made dinner to take to my coworker whose husband recently past away...Totally messed up the salad with too much pepper, "Slightly" overcooked the meatloaf, I got the potatoes right, and while I did bake the cake, my lovely sister decorated it! So basically when I was told to practice the "ART" of homemaking in my Patriarchal blessing, I basically drew a stick figure that day...I got the potatoes right! Yippee...This stuff(I.E. "homemaking" is DEFINITELY harder than it looks!

THAT IS GREAT!!!

I am so excited for you! You are working hard and it is paying off. Way to go Jenn!

Keep up the good work! and I am glad to hear that good things are happening to you. Just to share a bad homemaking moment with you. I got fresh peaches today and decided to make a peach cobbler. It is done now and tastes great, but my whole house smells like smoke and it is hard to see through the haze. :( Not all of us can cook as pretty as others.
