Embarrassing Moments and the Last and First...

I'm going to try keeping a log of some of the very funny moments I've had in my life on this site. Not everyday...but if you know me...you know how truly skilled I am at embarrassing myself. I promise I won't do it everyday, but keep watch...you just never know! Most will be historic...and some will be current...all will be utterly Jen!

Here is my "clumsy" moment for the day:
My best friend growing up took me skiing for the first time when I was about 14. Laurie and I were great friends, and her family used to own a cabin in the Lake Tahoe area. The day before we went skiing we got up to the cabin and it was literally frozen! No water or heat. We used the wood burner to warm the cabin and melt water for anything we need to drink/cook/flush/etc. Standing around the wood burning stove, joking as kids would do, of course it was me who got jostled and planted both hands right on top of it. Oh...totally stung! Thanks to the plethora of snow outside, I had no long lasting side effects...that was NOT the clumsy moment of the day...here goes

I'd been on the ski slopes for almost the whole day...we were all getting tired and ready to go. I'd been on the bunny slopes, and had worked my way up to a SLIGHTLY more difficult hill. I was feeling pretty good, likin' my skills, heading down the hill and getting ready to get back in line to go up the hill on the lift. I was totally hot! I tried to ski into the back of the line, you know, ending in the little "swish" you see the cool people do. So as I was getting ready to stop, I realized that I was either going to ram into the last person in the line, or the person who was headed to the same spot I was headed to. I changed direction to sharply and what did I do? I clothes-lined myself at my waist. Totally ran into the line ropes, was flung forward and then whipped right back when it didn't give...in front of at least 20 people. We all had a good laugh, and yes, I went home to tend my bruises and only cried (on the inside) just a bit.

Wahoo! I am so excited! Tomorrow is the first day and the last day! My first day of my Master's program and the last day of teaching school for 14 whole days!!! Man, I am doing the happy dance in my head...and it is transferring soon to my feet! I totally hope I am this happy when I'm getting ready to present my thesis! I'll try to hold onto that feeling!

Jen's freakin' food journal:

Breakfast: Yogurt, cottage cheese, vitamins
Lunch: Salad with Chicken, apple, vitamins
Dinner: Veggie burrito*, vitamins

I tried(and will keep trying, as the day isn't over) to get all my water, I did get all my vits...no snacking.

*I was feeling too lazy to cook today. So instead I went to somewhere I loved and got a veggie burrito. Not in the same caliber as fish, but so much better than what I would have done in the past. I LOVED it!

Have a happy day!
